Name: Reilanin Myvara
Age: 29
Birthday: September 15
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 110 lbs
Visible Markings: None
Appearance: Thin (flat) figure, green eyes, pale skin and thin, straw-blonde hair. A near-constant neutral expression, though any shifts tend to be frowns or narrowing of eyebrows, never smiles. Conservative (though classy) dress, mostly in blacks, whites and greys with the odd navy or burgandy article thrown in, and penny loafers when outside of the school. Trumpet skirts and blouses. Moves at an unhurried pace.
PB: Louise Nurding
History: Reilanin grew up as one of those strange children, the sort that are beyond their years and possessing an unnatural maturity and quiet. As a child she was brought in and out of hospitals to try and figure out what was wrong with her, be it some form of autism or other mental illness, but nothing was ever proved. Growing up she was highly independent yet also aware of her limitations. She was not an outgoing child and had few close friends, but her openness and how easily she allowed herself to be interacted with never saw her as lonely. At the end of the day, however, it was simply shown that she had no interest in other people, and that was that. She was the cause for many fights in her house because of her distance and some supposed "problem", but she never felt compelled to change and treated her family as she might anyone else- meaning that they were nothing more than hospitable strangers to her. She grew up learning next to nothing of them and in turn teaching them nothing of herself. When she was thirteen, they had another child, a boy they named Keighvan. She was given charge of him after school when it was in session, all day during the summer when it wasn't, but there was little more than passing affection for him, though he became quite attached to her.
She worked a part-time job when she was old enough, and the money she saved and continued to earn through other part-time jobs and a small scholarship awarded to her for her excellent grades in secondary school sustained her through her post-secondary years. Writing was something of a passion for her (if anything of hers could be called passionate), but she instead took the route of the librarian, doing what she needed to enter into the library sciences and landing something of a work experience job at the university she attended, in the library there. She kept no contact with her family though her brother did his best to keep in contact with her. Through that she knew of the eventual seperation between her parents and the successful progress through school of her younger brother, but beyond the phonecalls she bothered to respond to, she heard nothing more.
Newly graduated with her degree at the age of twenty-nine and after a fairly long, uneventful life so far, she was offered a job as assistant librarian at Second Heaven when it became available. As aloof and studious as ever, she took up the job without any indication that she liked it or hated it. She got a small, single apartment in downtown Schubert, a good pair of walking shoes and a scooter for whenever the little city started to feel too small for her, and settled in as much as she ever settled in anywhere.
Some months into her work, the head librarian was subject to a heartattack and failed to come back to work. On such short notice, though noted for her excellent work thus far, Reilanin was moved to the position of head librarian. She has moved into the position quite easily and there's been little more than a hiccup since she took it up.
Personality: Strange, quiet, stubborn, independent. Curious, easy to approach. Loves to write, loves to read. Ammoral. Vague or precise in conversation, depending. Distant, disconnected. Observant, uninvolved.
Birth Location: Belfast, Ireland
Why Second Heaven?: A comfortable distance from her family, but also just because that's where she found a job.
